Trials draw us closer to God. People have a way of being rather thick-headed--so often it is only when we come to the end of our self-sufficiency that we can turn to Him and His total sufficiency. Also, Jesus only had an earthly mother, who was Mary. There is no Sophia mentioned in the Bible as Jesus' heavenly mother. In Proverbs, the author does refer to Wisdom as a person, but that is a literary device only.
: What is going on? Why is all this suffering in the world? Why have a world where suffering is allowed and where the devil is allowed to torment people? Even the godly ones, or, I should say, especially the godly ones? If God knows He will win, then the devil should just forfeit and go home to hell. Right? Why is this so complicated? If everyone would follow the Golden Rule, it might be much a better place to live in, but still, we'd have to address why people get sick and other bad stuff happens, and why can't we just be in heaven with God (the Holy Trinity) now anyway, or Him here with us, All of Him, and experience All of His Power here on earth now. I need to understand this as it is BLOCKING my growth. PLEASE help me if you can. Thanks.
