Remember these words? "Blessed are they which do hunger
and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled (St Matthew 5:6)" Our prayer is that you are hungry and thirsty for the
righteous of God. It is important that we seek after God and study his word.
For those that don't know His word, God says in Hosea 4:6
that "My people are
destroyed for lack of knowledge". How true this
statement is. I personally believe that we are seeing the fulfillment of Amos 8:11, "Behold the days
come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread,
nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord."
There is an answer for the people of God. He has already declared that "Man
shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of
God" (St Matthew 4:4).
God wants us to study his word (Timothy 2:15). His word will be "a lamp unto
my (your) feet and a light unto my (your) path (Psalms
119:105). He will free those who are in bondage ("If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall
know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." St
John 8:31-32).
With these thoughts in mind, we
encourage you to allow God's word to provide the answers that you need for your life. |
